  Baxter Avenue is a great inner-city church that loves the Irish Hill community and its residents. While I was in college I was able to serve among with other fellow seminary students. I thank the Lord for this amazing body of believers.

  When we visited from out of town I found this to be a warm and welcoming congregation that is also serious about the Bible. "Love one another" seems to be the idea here.

  Every church has it's strengths and Baxter's is that of LOVE! It is also a place where you will hear the Word preached clearly and concisely.
  The worship is passionate and the lyrics are full of God's truths and promises!

  As a commuting seminarian at Southern I have visited Baxter three times and have been tremendously blessed by the teaching and the obvious joy in the Lord that I see in this congregation.
