  This church has a great worship team. I love the freedom in worship! You can raise your hands, shout, dance etc. They have a dance team that waves flags and did a dance/drama presentation. Freedom in worship at a church is hard to find. However, they weren’t friendly to guests. Only one person greeted me and that was only because my friend introduced me. Otherwise the congregation talked to each other and even the pastor didn’t say hello. The congregation is not big so there was no way they weren’t aware I was new. In fact, a congregant talked to my friend in the foyer but when I came to her side and started messing with my friend’s hair (which obviously showed I was with her); the congregant didn’t even acknowledge me. I felt completely unwanted at this church. They left me feeling that they are cliquish and I wasn’t welcome (talk is cheap; actions speak louder). If this church wants to grow and fill up their pews they need to do better than this. It starts with the leadership and the congregants follow their lead. This can be a great church but not until guests are loved and welcomed with actual actions. They could learn a thing or two from Highview Baptist.
